The Commercial Driver at Goyal Brothers Prakashan will be responsible for operating a Mahindra Bolero Pickup for the secure and timely transportation of books, goods, and materials to designated locations. The role demands a responsible, punctual, and experienced driver who can handle the Bolero Pickup efficiently while complying with all traffic laws and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the Mahindra Bolero Pickup for daily delivery and pickup of books and goods as per schedule.
- Safely transport goods to customers, warehouses, or distribution points within the assigned routes.
- Load and unload goods from the Bolero Pickup at pickup and delivery locations and verify quantities against delivery challans.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip sheets, and vehicle logbooks daily.
- Ensure the Bolero Pickup is clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy before every trip.
- Report any vehicle issues, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all traffic rules, road safety regulations,
and company transport policies at all times.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team for the timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Obtain proper signatures and acknowledgements on delivery documents from recipients.
- Handle urgent or priority deliveries as assigned by the logistics team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10th pass (Higher secondary education preferred).
- Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license - mandatory.
- 2-5 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably Bolero Pickup, Tempo, or similar vehicles.
- Good knowledge of local and intercity routes.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor repairs of LMV vehicles.
- Familiarity with delivery documentation such as challans, invoices, and e-way bills is preferred.
