Position Overview

The Hostel Warden/ Assistant Hostel Warden will be responsible for the overall supervision, discipline, safety, and welfare of students residing in the hostel. The role requires solid leadership, emotional intelligence, and the ability to create a nurturing, disciplined, and spiritually enriching residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Supervision & Welfare
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all hostel residents.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
- Act as a guardian and mentor to students.
- Address students’ personal, emotional, and academic concerns.
- Monitor attendance and movement of students.

2. Hostel Administration
- Maintain hostel records (attendance, leave records, visitor log, complaints register).
- Oversee allotment of rooms and ensure proper occupancy management.
- Coordinate with academic staff regarding student performance and behaviour.




- Ensure smooth daily routine (wake-up, study hours, meals, lights-out timing).

3. Safety & Security
- Ensure hostel premises are secure at all times.
- Conduct regular checks of rooms and common areas.
- Handle emergencies and medical situations promptly.
- Coordinate with medical staff/parents when required.

4. Mess & Hygiene Supervision
- Supervise cleanliness and hygiene of hostel rooms, washrooms, and common areas.
- Coordinate with mess in-charge to ensure quality and hygiene of food.
- Ensure students maintain personal hygiene.

5. Parent & Management Coordination
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student welfare.
- Report major issues to school management.
- Participate in staff meetings and training programs.

6. Spiritual & Character Development
- Encourage participation in prayer, meditation, and value-based activities.
