Position: Sr. Manager – Research & BD

Location: Thane - Mumbai

Experience: 10 - 15 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:
- Lead market research and business development initiatives for engineering products, solutions and new business opportunities.
- Conduct primary market research through customer interactions, industry experts, competitor analysis and field intelligence.
- Perform market sizing, demand analysis, trend analysis and opportunity assessment across existing and emerging engineering sectors.
- Map the industry value chain, key players, applications, customers, suppliers and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Explore and evaluate new sectors, applications and geographies for business expansion.
- Identify and qualify potential customers, OEMs, industrial clients and strategic accounts.
- Conduct cold outreach, customer meetings, presentations and technical/business discussions to generate leads.
- Convert qualified market opportunities into business proposals, RFQs, trials and commercial opportunities.




- Develop and maintain a solid sales pipeline and opportunity funnel with clear conversion plans.
- Build strategic relationships with OEMs, technology partners, distributors, consultants and industry stakeholders.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships, alliances and collaboration opportunities for business growth.
- Work closely with Engineering, NPD, Sales, Operations and Management to evaluate and convert new opportunities.
- Prepare market intelligence reports, competitor mapping, customer insights and management presentations.
- Track industry developments, competitor movements, technology changes and emerging customer requirements.
- Support leadership in developing market-entry strategies, business plans and growth strategies.
- Monitor opportunity conversion, revenue potential and ROI of identified markets and partnerships.
