3–7 years in Android Application Support, Production Operations, Performance Engineering, or Automotive IVI / Connected Systems

Role Overview
We are looking for an Android Automotive Operations & Performance Engineer to own post‑production triage, system stability, and performance optimization for Android Automotive (AAOS) IVI platforms.

This role acts as a first line of technical ownership once the product is live, combining field issue triage, customer impact control, and deep system‑level performance optimization across the Android stack (App → Framework → HAL → Kernel).

You will work closely with HMI, Android Framework, Backend, Telematics, QA, Tier‑1 partners, and Product teams to ensure fast issue containment, root‑cause direction, SLA adherence, and production‑grade performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Triage & Field Issue Management
- Act as first point of contact for all post‑release field issues on Android Automotive IVI systems
- Perform first‑level technical triage to identify:
- Impacted modules (HMI, Framework, Backend, Telematics, Platform)
- Severity,



priority, and customer impact
- Likely root‑cause direction
- Reproduce customer issues, collect ADB / Logcat / Dumpsys / system traces, and ensure transparent defect evidence
- Ensure correct routing, fast containment, and zero handoff delays between teams

2. Customer Communication & Incident Control
- Own end‑to‑end customer and stakeholder communication
- Provide quick acknowledgment, structured updates, and closure summaries
- Proactively manage critical incidents, preventing escalations through early intervention
- Maintain strong SLA and timeline control for response and resolution

3. Performance Optimization (Android Automotive)
- Analyze and optimize performance across App → Framework → HAL → Kernel
- Drive improvements in:
- Boot time and app launch time
- UI rendering and GPU performance
- CPU, memory, I/O, and multi‑threading efficiency
- Identify performance bottlenecks and regres
