1. To assist concerned Engineer in laying out the building, marking centerline, recording initial levels before PCC is laid for foundation.
2. To check footing position as per centerline drawing and check reinforcement and dimensions of footing and before concreting
3. Ensure proper Grade of Concrete, proportioning is adopted and checks the formwork and supervise concrete work for foundation.
4. To check the column starters, reinforcement positioning, equal and specified covering, distances between columns & diagonals before concreting starts.
5. To check column rings spacing as per drawings, column formwork for its dimensions, distances, cover to reinforcement, verticality before allowing concreting.
6. To supervise concreting work, ensure proper grade, proper vibration & finishing.
7. While deforming, check the surfaces for its proper finish. Repair honeycombs (within tolerable limits- or report to the Engineer) with proper repairing/ grouting compounds.

Ensure proper hacking of concrete surfaces and curing for specified period by wrapping gunny bags/ hessian cloth and watering.
9. Decide the beam bottom levels considering floor heights in advance and check the levels of beam bottoms during form work.
10. Check the sizes of beams as per drawing check the dimensions of slab and its level and ensure proper shurreting oil are applied before laying reinforcement.
11. Check the reinforcement of beams, spacing of stirrups, anchorage length, pins, curtail bars, length of top additional reinforcements, slab reinforcements, bent up bar locations etc., as per drawing.
12. Check all outer sides for its proper line & level. Ensure proper cover for all reinforcements, placement of chairs to keep the reinforcement in position during concreting.
