Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Job Summary:A Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring an organization's network security infrastructure to protect systems, data, and network resources from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and security breaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls.
- Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and security audits.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Configure and manage security policies, access controls, and network segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Manage endpoint and perimeter security technologies.
- Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen security posture.




- Develop and maintain network security documentation, procedures, and standards.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, and Switching.
- Experience with Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, NAC, VPN, Proxy, and WAF solutions.
- Knowledge of SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, or ArcSight.
- Understanding of network protocols and packet analysis tools (Wireshark).
- Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
