- Qatar Airways is looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Global Business Services function in Ahmedabad, India. The position will be responsible to perform operational tasks for all procurement requirements in a given or group of product or service categories, adhering to category strategy, in line with its financial and operational requirements. Participates in managing vendor accounts, establishes solid inter-departmental relationship and provides time bound execution of tenders. Works directly with end users to define specifications to execution of order. - Conduct a market search to identify a potential supplier as well as to maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and business community.
- Evaluate completeness and accuracy of specification put forward by user departments.
- Monitor and act upon Purchase Enquiring raised by User Departments.
- Develop RFP/RFQ/RFI and other tender documentations and subsequently run there sourcing events end to end, including providing justification for recommended selection, approval gaining and communicating to User Departments and Supplier.
- Responsible for Tender administration generally including creating system documents, printing and approvals circulation, checking for any required documents, calculations so that approving managers may proceed.
- Keep up to date knowledge about relevant commodity indexes, global inflation data, mínimal wage level, QR active stations.
- Proactively seek to provide solutions to operational problems such as delays, lack of supplier's responses.
