Responsibilities:
- Handle casting procurement activities in Rajkot
- Develop and maintain relationships with local foundries and suppliers
- Perform daily visits to foundries to monitor production status
- Ensure quality of rough castings before dispatch
- Verify machining dimensions and specifications as per requirements
- Coordinate closely with suppliers for timely material readiness
- Arrange and manage transport/logistics from Rajkot to Coimbatore
- Follow up regularly on pending orders and delivery schedules
- Ensure only approved and quality-checked materials are dispatched
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting of purchases and inspections
Requirements:
- Experience in casting purchase / foundry operations preferred
- Good knowledge of casting processes and machining basics
- Ability to inspect and verify dimensions using standard tools
- Solid vendor coordination and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel locally on a daily basis
- Basic understanding of logistics and transport coordination
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Based in Rajkot
- Prior experience in engineering/manufacturing industry
