Key Responsibilities:
- Media Preparation:
- Prepare accurate microbiological media (liquid and solid) as per production and QC requirements.
- Maintain sterile conditions and proper storage of media.
- Sterilization & Equipment Handling:
- Operate and monitor autoclave cycles to ensure complete sterilization of media, equipment, and culture vessels.
- Maintain logbooks and sterilization records.
- Manufacturing Support:
- Assist in inoculation, culture transfer, and scaling-up operations using a rotary shaker and fermentation units.
- Ensure aseptic techniques are followed in all stages of production.
- Quality Control (QC):
- Conduct Gram staining and serial dilution tests to assess microbial purity, contamination, and CFU counts.
- Record and interpret microbiological test results to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate batch-wise records, QC reports, and SOPs.
- Follow safety and hygiene standards as per biofertilizer manufacturing guidelines.
Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in microbiology lab work, preferably in biofertilizer, biopesticide, or fermentation-based industries.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Gram staining, serial dilution, media preparation, and autoclave operations.
- Robust aseptic technique and lab hygiene practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with bacterial/fungal culture maintenance.
- Familiarity with microbial CFU estimation methods (10^11-10^12 range).
- Basic knowledge of VAM or PGPR (Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria) is a plus.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
