Job Purpose
To bridge the gap between SMEClabs’ technically trained students and the global industrial market. The goal is to ensure placement support for students completing certifications in Automation (PLC/SCADA), Instrumentation, Oil & Gas, MEP, Civil, BMS, Embedded & Networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Tie-ups: Identify and establish partnerships with core engineering companies, manufacturing plants, marine firms in Kerala, across India.
- Student Profiling: Maintain a detailed database of students across different batches, tracking their technical competencies and preferred job locations.
- Recruitment Drives: Organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives, including technical interviews and "Placement Shala" events.
- Soft Skills Training: Arrange mock interviews and grooming sessions specifically tailored for technical roles..
- MIS Reporting:
Provide weekly reports on placement percentages, average salary packages, and feedback from recruiters to the training team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Any Graduate (B.Tech/BE preferred) or MBA in HR/Marketing.
- Experience: 2-5 years in recruitment, corporate relations, or as a placement officer in a technical institute.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with terms like PLC, SCADA, Instrumentation, NDT, and BIM is a huge plus, as you need to speak the language of technical recruiters.
- Networking: Solid existing network with HR professionals in the Kochi Infopark, Kinfra, and industrial hubs like Ambalamugal.
- Language: Fluency in Malayalam and English is mandatory. Hindi/Arabic is a bonus for North Indian and Middle East placements.
