PMTS Role Summary

A PMTS is a senior technical leader responsible for driving AMD’s technological direction in key domains. The role demands deep technical mastery, crossteam influence, strategic thinking, and the ability to independently own complex, highimpact engineering programs.




They operate as experts across project and organizational boundaries, shaping execution, architecture, and longrange technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Innovation
- Establish and maintain AMD’s technological leadership in specialized areas.
- Solve complex, novel, and nonrecurring technical problems requiring cuttingedge approaches.
- Champion innovation and drive significant changes to existing methods, processes, or architectures.
- Influence technical decisions impacting multiple products, product lines, or gotomarket strategies.

Project & Program Ownership
- Own highimpact technical programs with significant strategic or commercial importance.
- Drive planning, execution, risk management, and technical alignment across engineering functions.
- Ensure crossteam interdependency management and technical clarity across large, multiIP efforts.
