Job Summary:
The Sample Cell In charge will handle the receipt, preparation, logging, and dispatch of test samples. This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with lab operations to ensure seamless workflow and compliance with testing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming samples into the LIMS portal accurately.
- Prepare samples for testing (e.g., cutting, labelling, cleaning) following standard procedures.
- Maintain sample inventory, storage conditions, and dispatch records.
- Operate basic lab equipment and tools for sample handling.
- Update Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
- Ensure lab cleanliness, safety protocols, and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist in basic data entry and report generation as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a testing lab or manufacturing environment.
- Proven proficiency in operating LIMS portals for sample logging and tracking.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for data management, Word for reports).
- Solid technical understanding of mechanical testing processes, materials handling, and lab safety.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Test.
