Job Title: Gem Portal Operations Cum Bidder

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. GeM Portal Management
- Register and maintain the organization’s profile on GeM and other procurement portals.
- List products/services accurately, ensuring compliance with portal categories and specifications.
- Update product catalogs, pricing, and descriptions as required.

2. Bidding and Procurement
- Identify relevant tenders, bids, and RFQs on GeM and other platforms.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids in a timely manner.
- Analyze bid requirements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.

3. Order Processing and Coordination
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate with vendors, logistics teams, and internal departments for smooth order execution.
- Resolve issues related to orders, payments, or discrepancies.

4. Compliance and Documentation




- Ensure adherence to GeM policies, government regulations, and organizational procurement guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of bids, contracts, orders, and invoices.
- Generate reports on procurement activities, bid success rates, and cost savings.

5. Vendor Management
- Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure quality standards are met.

6. Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with changes in GeM portal features, government policies, and procurement trends.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in GeM portal operations, e-procurement, bidding, or vendor management.
- Proven track record of successful bidding and order processing on GeM.
