Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU / NICU:
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and oxygen therapy
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as per doctor’s orders
- Assist in emergency procedures, intubation, resuscitation, and invasive lines

ICU / NICU Specific Duties
- Care of ventilated patients and newborns
- Maintain accurate intake-output charts and nursing notes
- Perform suctioning, catheter care, wound care, and newborn care
- Observe and report changes in patient condition immediately

Patient Safety & Infection Control
- Follow infection control protocols, hand hygiene, and ICU safety standards
- Ensure proper handling of biomedical waste
- Maintain a clean and protected patient care environment





Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain nursing records, charts, and reports accurately
- Coordinate with doctors, respiratory therapists, and support staff
- Communicate patient status effectively during handovers

Family Support & Counseling
- Provide emotional support and basic counseling to patient attendants
- Educate parents on newborn care (for NICU cases)

Required Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing (from recognized institute)
- Valid Nursing Council Registration

Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in ICU and/or NICU (mandatory)
