Key duties include identifying potential exhibitors, pitching sponsorship, negotiating deals, managing client databases. They act as the primary contact for booth sales and post-event feedback.
Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation & Lead Generation: Cold-calling potential exhibitors, industry suppliers, and sponsors to secure booth space, sponsorship deals, or delegate registrations.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat participation in future events.
- Database Management: Accurately maintaining and updating CRM systems with contact details, call notes, and follow-up actions.
- Product Knowledge & Pitching:
Effectively communicating the value proposition, floor plans, attendee demographics, and marketing perks of the exhibition to prospects.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiating prices and contract terms to close sales, often handling objections and managing high-pressure situations.
- Follow-Up & Reporting: Following up on leads from marketing campaigns, and providing regular reports on sales progress, market feedback, and competitor activities.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication and persuasion skills.
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
