Responsibilities
- Provides genetic counseling to the patient regarding genetic conditions
- Share details regarding the genetic tests with Oncologists.
- Facilitates DNA testing
- Interprets and discloses DNA/genetic testing results and family histories to coordinate appropriate follow-up care
- Maintains appropriate documentation at all times
- Works comfortably, co-operatively, and professionally as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintains professional standards
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Genetics/Genetic Counseling.
- Minimum one year of experience in genetic counseling, cancer-related experience preferred.
