Key ResponsibilitiesInfection Prevention & Control
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures.
- Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
- Identify infection trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor hand hygiene, PPE usage, biomedical waste management, and isolation practices.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of medical equipment.

Audit & Compliance
- Perform regular infection control audits in all clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, NCDC, WHO, and hospital infection control guidelines.
- Maintain infection control records, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in infection control committee meetings.

Training & Education
- Conduct infection control training for nursing, medical, housekeeping, and support staff.
- Educate patients and attendants on infection prevention practices.
- Organize awareness programs on hand hygiene and antimicrobial resistance.

Outbreak Management
- Assist in early detection and investigation of infection outbreaks.




- Coordinate with microbiology and clinical teams during outbreaks.
- Implement isolation and containment measures.

Antimicrobial Stewardship
- Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
- Monitor antibiotic usage patterns in coordination with clinicians.

Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualification
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM (mandatory)
- Certification or training in Infection Control (preferred)

Experience
- 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Experience in infection control or quality department preferred

Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention practices
- Familiarity with NABH standards
- Positive communication and training skills
- Attention to detail and analytical ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions
