Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior QA / QA Lead to define the test architecture, drive automation frameworks, and lead end-to-end quality validation for our security-focused, agent-based enterprise platform. The role focuses on large-scale endpoint agent testing across cross-platform OS environments, multi-tenant backend architectures, and production release gating.

Mandatory Requirements

- Core Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on software quality engineering experience, including QA leadership, test planning, and owning end-to-end quality strategy.
- Domain Experience: Proven background in endpoint security products (EDR, XDR, Antivirus, Host-based DLP, or OS agent-based software architectures).
- Multi-Platform Agent Testing: Deep hands-on experience validating client/agent software across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Large-Scale Endpoint Testing: Practical experience designing and executing canary and scale deployments involving 200–500+ endpoints/clients.
- Full-Stack Validation: Demonstrated testing across the full product lifecycle:
- Agent-server communication & protocols
- REST APIs & backend microservices

- Web/UI applications
- Multi-tenant distributed SaaS systems
- Test Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Python, Java,



or similar scripting languages.
- Release & CI/CD Governance: Proven track record of defining entry/exit criteria, release quality gates, automated CI/CD pipeline integration, and defect root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Work Arrangement: Availability to work full-time in office from the Bangalore office (Electronic City Phase 2).

- Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Architecture: Own test strategy, quality metrics, risk management, and test architecture across client-agent and cloud layers.
- Execution & Automation: Drive an automation-first testing approach across functional, integration, API, system, regression, and performance suites.
- Agent Lifecycle Validation: Plan and execute tests for agent installation, silent deployment, upgrades, rollbacks, uninstallation, policy enforcement, and tamper resistance.
- Scale & Reliability: Oversee staging environments, stress testing, and canary rollouts across diverse OS distributions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Core Engineering, Security, Product Management, and DevOps to ensure testability, observability, and smooth production releases.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and institute QA best practices across the team.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

- Familiarity with containerized microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Exposure to non-functional testing: performance, resource benchmarking (CPU, RAM, disk I/O on agent endpoints), and resilience.
- Understanding of core security concepts (MITRE ATT&CK; framework, malware behavior, vulnerability validation).
