Project Maitree is a specialized Project Management Consultancy focused on Cooperative Housing Society Redevelopment in Mumbai. As an independent PMC representing housing societies, we monitor redevelopment projects for construction quality, specifications, progress, timelines and compliance with agreed project requirements.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer – QA/QC & Construction Monitoring to strengthen our Construction Monitoring & PMC function. This is not merely a site-supervision position. The selected engineer will work from an independent PMC/client-side monitoring perspective, assessing construction quality, progress, quantities, timelines and compliance across redevelopment projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct periodic QA/QC inspections of residential construction projects.
- Inspect reinforcement, formwork, RCC/concrete, masonry, waterproofing, plastering, flooring, finishing and allied construction activities.
- Review architectural, structural and relevant construction drawings.
- Verify construction against approved drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards.
- Review material quality, site testing, concrete test results and relevant quality records.




- Review QA/QC documentation including checklists, Inspection & Test Plans and inspection/test records.
- Identify defects and non-conformities and monitor corrective actions and closure.
- Undertake quantity, measurement and dimensional verification where required.
- Monitor actual construction progress against approved project schedules and milestones.
- Identify delays and assist in delay analysis and review of recovery plans.
- Prepare structured site-inspection reports and Monthly PMC Reports.
- Maintain photographic and technical records of observations and progress.
- Participate in project progress meetings and technical review meetings.
- Coordinate professionally with developers, contractors, architects, structural consultants and other project professionals.
- Present technical findings to Cooperative Housing Society representatives in a clear and understandable manner when required.
- Assist in verification of members' premises, carpet areas, specifications and common amenities at appropriate project stages.
- Contribute to development of Project Maitree's QA/QC checklists, construction-monitoring SOPs, reporting formats and technical systems.

Candidate Profile





- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in residential building construction.
- Strong practical understanding of RCC and finishing works.
- Hands-on experience in QA/QC, construction supervision or site inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Working knowledge of construction specifications, quality procedures and relevant IS Codes.
- Understanding of construction material testing and quality documentation.
- Measurement and quantity-verification ability.
- Strong observation, documentation and report-writing skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and AutoCAD.
- Ability to independently identify and communicate construction-quality issues.
- Professional communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel across Mumbai for project inspections.
