Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Physics Expert (Statistical Physics / Quantum Information / Condensed Matter) to work on a contract basis. The position is listed on the Micro1 platform and is fully remote. This role focuses on solving, reviewing, and formalizing complex problems in statistical mechanics, quantum information theory, and many-body condensed matter physics to evaluate frontier artificial intelligence models.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate, solve, and annotate graduate-level theoretical problems in statistical physics and quantum computing.
- Review and validate quantum state formulations, Hamiltonian representations, and phase transition proofs.
- Create rigorous rubrics and gold-standard solution sets for LLM physics benchmarks.
- Identify nuanced errors, hallucinations, and non-physical assumptions in AI-generated scientific derivations.
- Collaborate with machine learning researchers to establish high-integrity scientific benchmarks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- PhD in Physics,



Theoretical Physics, Condensed Matter, or Quantum Information Science.
- Proven expertise in statistical mechanics, quantum entanglement, open quantum systems, or condensed matter theory.
- Strong mathematical background with demonstrated capabilities in analytical derivation and scientific computation.
- Experience using scientific tools (Python, NumPy, SciPy, QuTiP, or Mathematica).
- Exceptional written communication skills for producing clear, publication-quality technical documentation.
