As a Senior Microbiologist in the Quality Control department, She/he will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, safety, and compliance within our organization. He or She will be responsible for overseeing and performing microbiological testing, analysis, and documentation to ensure the quality of our products meets regulatory standards.

Responsibility

- Microbiological Testing: Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples using various techniques such as microbial enumeration, identification, and microbial limits testing.
- Method Development and Validation: Develop, optimize, and validate microbiological test methods to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Environmental Monitoring: Implement and manage environmental monitoring programs to assess cleanliness and sterility of production areas. Take corrective actions if necessary to maintain a controlled environment.
- Quality Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (WHO) and company quality standards. Maintain detailed records of all testing activities and results.
- Laboratory Management: Supervise junior microbiologists and laboratory technicians. Train and mentor staff, ensuring they adhere to laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices.
- Investigations: Participate in investigations of out-of-specification results and deviations.



Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate microbiological testing equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Documentation: Prepare and review SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), protocols, reports, and other documentation related to microbiological testing and QC processes.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for quality improvement and efficiency enhancements within the QC department.
- Communication: Communicate microbiological findings and QC data to relevant stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and management teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
