ROLE OVERVIEW The Senior Finance Manager plays a critical role in managing financial operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning across Aeden's import/export and operational divisions. You will oversee accounting, statutory compliance, fund management, and provide analytical support to senior leadership for business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Accounting
- Oversee month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations
- Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management
- Reconcile inter-company and subsidiary accounts
Import/Export & Operations Finance
- Manage finance aspects of import/export operations (customs, duties, freight costs, insurance)
- Track and reconcile shipping documents, bills of lading, and cargo insurance
- Monitor inbound/outbound inventory costs and logistics expenses
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners
- Ensure compliance with foreign exchange regulations and import/export documentation
Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, income tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory obligations
- Prepare and file statutory returns (GST, GSTR-1/GSTR-3B, TDS, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal audit, external auditors, and tax consultants
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support compliance audits
- Monitor changes in tax and regulatory requirements
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
- Monitor KPIs and financial metrics across operations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Prepare reports for leadership and board-level reviews
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members
- Manage delegation, performance, and professional development
- Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with HR, Operations, and IT
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent; CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA (Cost Management Accountant), or pursuing professional accounting qualification preferred
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- At least 3+ years of direct experience in import/export operations finance OR international trade finance
- Proven experience in statutory compliance, GST, and tax management
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Track record of managing financial operations in multi-location or multi-entity organizations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or equivalent accounting software)
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, accounting software, and data analysis
- Sound understanding of import/export documentation and procedures (Customs, IGST, duty management)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and regional languages
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- CA or CMA qualification (fully qualified or in progress)
- Experience in agribusiness, FMCG, or import/export sectors
- Familiarity with international trade compliance and HS codes
- Experience with customs processes, duty drawback, and trade benefits (RCEP, FTAs)
- Knowledge of supply chain finance and working capital optimization
- Experience working with government agencies (customs, tax authorities)
- Prior exposure to board-level or strategic financial reporting

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (with flexibility during month-end and year-end closings)
- Location: Aeden HQ, Panangad, with occasional travel to Mumbai, Chennai, or Bangalore locations
- Reporting: Directly to Group CFO or Head of Finance
- Physical demands: Standard office-based role with occasional field visits to warehouse/operations sites
