Senior Excel VBA Developer

Responsibilities**

- Develop, enhance, and maintain VBA code across large, macro-enabled Excel workbooks.
- Implement product launches, product variants, and repricing updates for multiple distribution channels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to calculations, validations, and reporting outputs.
- Standardize Excel design templates and improve solution maintainability.
- Perform impact analysis, maintain technical documentation, and ensure traceability to work items.
- Execute regression testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Support release management activities and version control processes.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives and evaluation of migration paths from VBA-based solutions to modern platforms.

Required Skills

Core VBA / Excel

- 5+ years of hands-on VBA development for large, production-grade Excel applications.




- Strong VBA expertise including modules, classes, collections, dictionaries, error handling, and conditional compilation.
- Experience developing UserForms/MSForms with event-driven logic and validation.
- Advanced knowledge of the Excel Object Model (Workbook, Worksheet, Range, FileDialog, printing, and calculation management).
- Ability to optimize workbook performance using effective calculation, event, and data-processing techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, conditional formatting, data validation, and named ranges.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in insurance/financial services.
- Japanese language proficiency (reading and understanding technical specifications, business documents, and stakeholder communications) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control and release management.
