Role & responsibilities

- Own assigned application modules from requirement analysis through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database structures, queries, and data-access mechanisms.
- Analyze existing application architecture and recommend technical improvements.
- Develop and integrate frontend functionality using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical solutions for complex business and integration requirements.
- Perform detailed code reviews and ensure coding, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Troubleshoot critical application and production issues.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Product teams, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and customer stakeholders.
- Support system integration, SIT, UAT, Go-Live, and production-support activities.
- Guide junior and intermediate developers on technical implementation and troubleshooting.
- Review API specifications, database design, application flows, and integration requirements.
- Support application modernization, migration, customization, and legacy application integration.
- Identify performance, security, and scalability issues and recommend improvements.
- Prepare technical design documents, API documentation, and solution specifications.

- Strong Java development experience

- Good understanding of branching strategies, merge requests/pull requests, tagging, and release management.
- Perform commits, branching, merging, rebasing where applicable, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct and participate in peer code reviews.
- Ensure proper versioning and traceability of source code and application releases.
- Coordinate with DevOps teams for source-code builds, deployment packages, and release activities.
- Follow defined development, branching, code-review, and release-management standards.

Domain Expert Responsibilities

- Understand electricity business processes and guide the development team on correct functional implementation.
- Validate technical solutions against utility business requirements.
- Identify gaps between existing application functionality and business requirements.
- Support customer discussions and requirement clarification.
- Provide domain inputs for application customization and product enhancements.
- Review module-level functionality and ensure end-to-end business flow.
- Support resolution of critical functional and technical issues.
- Guide team members on utility-domain processes and application implementation.

Leadership & Team Responsibilities

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate developers.
- Review code and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Assist in technical estimation and task planning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely delivery.
- Take ownership of technical risks, dependencies, and critical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and release processes.

Education Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
