Role Description The Senior Design Engineer (Water Treatment) is a full time, on-site role based in Kerala, India. This role is responsible for designing and engineering industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, including process design, equipment selection, layout preparation, and detailed engineering documentation.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project requirements, performing technical calculations, preparing P&IDs; and GA drawings, coordinating with sales and project teams, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. The engineer will collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams,



provide technical support during commissioning, and optimize designs based on feedback from operations and clients. The role also involves continuous improvement of design standards, evaluation of new technologies, and support for cost-effective, reliable solutions aligned with Alantech Industrial’s product portfolio.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong process and design engineering skills for water and wastewater treatment systems, including sizing, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selection.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering design tools and software, such as CAD platforms for layouts and P&IDs;, and standard engineering documentation practices.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of industrial water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, softening, RO, UF, ETP/STP processes) and familiarity with diverse raw water qualities.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot design issues, optimize system performance, and support commissioning and after-sales activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, with substantial experience in industrial water treatment design.
- Experience in bottling lines, packaging equipment, or process plants in beverage, food, or chemical industries is an advantage.
