Role Summary

We're hiring a Senior Business Analyst with deep banking domain experience to bridge the gap between RBI/regulatory requirements, bank stakeholder needs, and our engineering team. You'll own requirements definition for a platform that banking compliance, risk, and technology teams will rely on for audit-readiness so precision, regulatory fluency, and stakeholder management matter as much as BA fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate RBI regulatory frameworks (FREE-AI Committee recommendations, IT Risk & Cyber Framework, Digital Lending Guidelines, DPDP Act) into detailed functional requirements and user stories for engineering
- Lead requirements gathering with bank stakeholders CROs, CDOs, Internal Audit heads, CTOs — during PoC and pilot engagements
- Own and maintain the Software Requirements Specification (SRS) across modules (AuditTrail, DataGuard, ModelWatch, ComplianceGen), including functional/non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and regulatory-mapping documentation
- Design and validate demo scenarios (e.g., loan decisioning workflows) for internal consistency against module trigger logic and RBI Digital Lending Guidelines
- Partner with the compliance/domain expert to keep requirements aligned as RBI guidance evolves
- Produce audience-specific documentation — executive briefings, developer onboarding docs, sponsor decks — each with appropriate tone and depth
- Support UAT with anchor bank clients; manage requirement traceability from regulatory clause to feature to test case




- Conduct gap analysis when regulatory frameworks change or when module scope decisions (e.g., MVP consolidation) ripple into existing demo narratives, competitive positioning, or documentation
- Work closely with the Tech Lead/Architect on core banking system (CBS) integration requirements (Finacle, Temenos, Flexcube) and data flows that must respect the bank-perimeter architecture

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years as a Business Analyst on banking/financial services applications, with at least 3 years on projects involving regulatory or compliance systems (MRM, AML, KYC, fraud, audit, or risk platforms)
- Strong working knowledge of RBI regulatory frameworks — IT Risk & Cyber Security Framework, Outsourcing Guidelines, Digital Lending Guidelines, Master Direction on Fraud Risk Management; familiarity with DPDP Act 2023 obligations (consent, purpose limitation, data minimisation)
- Experience writing BRDs/SRS/user stories for enterprise banking systems, ideally with exposure to core banking systems (CBS), audit trail/logging systems, or model risk management tooling
- Proven ability to run stakeholder workshops with senior banking personas (CRO, CCO, CDO, Internal Audit) and translate ambiguous regulatory language into testable requirements
- Comfortable working with technical architecture documentation and cross-functional engineering teams (familiarity with concepts like API-first design, data pipelines, or event-driven architecture is a plus, not a requirement to code)
- Excellent written communication — able to produce crisp, risk-framed documents for leadership as well as detailed specs for developers
- Experience with tools: JIRA/Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart or similar for process/data flow diagrams
