Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Officer(Modern Trade)to manage and grow business with contemporary retail chains, supermarkets, hypermarkets, and organized retail customers. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining product availability and visibility, managing retail accounts, and ensuring smooth commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Achieve assigned Modern Trade sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with modern trade buyers and category teams.
- Coordinate with retail chains regarding purchase orders and supplies.
- Ensure timely order processing and product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and prevent stock-outs.
- Ensure proper product placement and visibility at stores.
- Coordinate promotions, schemes, displays, and in-store activities.
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and product launches.
- Track sales performance by account, store, and SKU.
- Coordinate with distributors and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and claims.
- Manage promotional claims, debit notes, credit notes, and commercial documentation.




- Identify opportunities for new listings and current product introductions.
- Negotiate commercial terms and promotional opportunities as authorized by management.
- Prepare regular sales, inventory, and account-wise performance reports.
- Conduct regular store visits and ensure execution of agreed activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for product listings, pricing, and promotions.

Required Skills:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Modern Trade operations.
- Understanding of retail sales and category management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Excellent follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel and conduct regular store visits.
- Good knowledge of FMCG/organized retail sales.
- Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate/MBA in Marketing preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in Modern Trade/FMCG sales.
- Experience handling supermarket chains, organized retail, or national/regional retail accounts preferred.
