A Quality Assurance Engineer serves as the organization's technical testing expert who partners with developers to improve overall product quality. Rather than focusing primarily on manual testing, this role guides and mentors developers on implementing effective testing practices across both front-end and back-end systems. The QA Engineer develops testing strategies, selects appropriate tools, analyzes production issues, and drives continuous quality improvements.

This role is deeply integrated with CI/CD pipelines and SecDevOps practices, ensuring quality and security throughout the development lifecycle.

QA Engineer leverages AI-powered tools to enhance testing efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and provide data-driven insights for quality improvement.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

- Mentor and guide developers on writing effective integration tests, regression tests, and load tests
- Serve as the primary contact for testing-related questions and challenges
- Design and implement testing frameworks that developers can leverage independently
- Analyze production incidents and propose systematic improvements to prevent future issues
- Establish best practices for automated testing across the organization
- Promote a "shift-left" testing approach where quality is built into the development process such as Test-Driven Development
- Integrate security testing practices into the development workflow
- Implement chaos testing strategies to improve system resilience
- Configure and maintain automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Design testing strategies that align with SecDevOps practices
- Collaborate with teams to integrate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop metrics to measure and report on product quality and testing efficiency




- Implement AI-powered test generation tools to create comprehensive test scenarios
- Use AI for intelligent test prioritization and optimization based on risk assessment
- Leverage machine learning models to predict potential quality issues before they manifest
- Apply AI-based anomaly detection to identify unusual patterns in application behavior
- Utilize AI tools for automated visual regression testing and UI verification
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (Refinement, Planning, Daily, Retrospective)
- Review user stories during refinement to ensure testability, clear acceptance criteria, and coverage of edge cases
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to improve workflows and prevent ambiguities early
- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into clear test scenarios
- Identify missing cases, edge cases, and integration risks before development starts

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

- 3+ years' experience with modern testing methodologies and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of both front-end and back-end testing approaches
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment environments
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions
- Experience with test case design and execution
- Understanding of security testing methodologies and SecDevOps practices

- Solid understanding of test framework architectures and implementation

- Experience with AI-assisted test automation tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of natural language processing for test case generation
- Understanding of how to effectively prompt and guide AI tools for testing purposes
- Experience with web-based testing frameworks (e.g. QUnit, Selenium, Cypress or similar)
- Solid focus on integration and unit testing for web applications
- Ability to understand and test modern frontend architectures (SPA, APIs, authentication flows)
- Experience using LLMs to assist with test creation or analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
- Cloud platform testing experience (primarily AWS)
- Experience with containerized applications and microservices architecture
- Experience implementing chaos testing in production or production-like environments
- Programming skills in languages such as Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and testing infrastructure components
- Knowledge of specific test frameworks (K6, Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Experience integrating security testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant certifications (ISTQB, AWS, Azure, security certifications, etc.)
- Experience coaching development teams on quality and security practices
- Experience with AI-powered codeless testing platforms
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI testing practices
- Experience using large language models to assist in test script creation
- Familiarity with AI tools for monitoring and analyzing test results
