We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer Manual & Automation who can take ownership of product quality throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle

(SDLC).

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 23 years of experience in both Manual

Testing and Test Automation.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding requirements, preparing test strategies and test cases, executing functional and non-functional testing, identifying and tracking defects,

performing API testing, regression testing, integration testing, and developing/maintaining automated test scripts.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should be comfortable testing web applications, REST APIs, backend services, databases, AI-

powered applications, and production systems.

The candidate must be capable of working closely with Developers, Team Leads, Project

Managers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and other QA Engineers to ensure high-quality releases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manual Testing

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare detailed:

o Test scenarios o Test cases o Test data o Test execution reports o Regression test suites o Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Perform:

o Functional testing o Integration testing o System testing o Regression testing o Smoke testing o Sanity testing o Exploratory testing o Compatibility testing o Usability testing o End-to-end testing o User acceptance testing support
- Validate application workflows from both technical and end-user perspectives.
- Identify edge cases and negative scenarios before production deployment.
- Verify fixes and conduct regression testing after defect resolution.
- Automation Testing
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Automate repetitive and high-value test scenarios.
- Maintain automation frameworks and reusable test components.
- Perform automated regression testing.
- Identify suitable test cases for automation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where required.
- Analyze automation failures and distinguish between:

o Application defects o Environment issues o Test-script failures o Infrastructure issues
- Maintain stable and reliable automation suites.

Automation Tools / Technologies

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Selenium

- Create positive and negative API test scenarios.
- Test API integrations between frontend, backend, databases, and third-party services.
- Use tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Newman, or equivalent tools.
- Automate API test cases wherever appropriate.
- Web Application Testing
- Test responsive web applications across different browsers and devices.
- Validate frontend functionality and backend integrations.
- Test:

o Login/authentication o User roles and permissions o Forms o Search and filtering o Dashboards o Notifications o File uploads/downloads o Payment/integration workflows where applicable o Session management o Error messages o Data validation
- Perform cross-browser testing using Chrome, Edge,



Firefox, etc.
- Database Testing
- Validate data flow between frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
- Write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data validation.
- Verify:

o Data insertion o Data updates o Data deletion o Data consistency o Data relationships o Transaction behaviour
- Perform backend data validation using databases such as:

o MySQL o PostgreSQL o MongoDB o Other relational/NoSQL databases as applicable.
- Bug Identification & Defect Management
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
- Create detailed bug reports containing:

o Defect summary o Steps to reproduce o Expected result o Actual result o Environment o Screenshots/logs o Severity o Priority
- Work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Perform defect verification after fixes.
- Track defects through their complete lifecycle.
- Identify recurring defects and recommend permanent corrective actions.
- Regression & Release Testing
- Build and maintain regression test suites for every major product release.
- Execute pre-release validation.
- Perform smoke testing on new builds.
- Conduct release candidate testing before production deployment.
- Validate critical business workflows after deployments.
- Support production verification and post-deployment testing.
- Ensure that previously working functionality is not broken by current changes.
- CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Understand basic CI/CD concepts and deployment workflows.
- Execute tests in development, staging, and production-like environments.
- Analyze build and deployment failures from a QA perspective.
- Validate application health following deployments.
- Understand basic concepts of:

o Git o GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket o Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI o Docker o Cloud environments o Logs and monitoring
- AI / LLM Application Testing

Since Ramxora works on AI-powered applications, exposure to AI/ML/LLM testing will be an advantage.

The candidate may be involved in testing:

QA activities may include

- Testing prompt-response behaviour.
- Validating response accuracy and relevance.
- Testing hallucination and incorrect-response scenarios.
- Testing different user prompts and edge cases.
- Validating RAG retrieval results.
- Testing API failures and fallback mechanisms.
- Testing response consistency.
- Testing latency and timeout scenarios.
- Validating incorrect, incomplete, malicious, or unexpected user inputs.
- Production & Real-Time Issue Handling The candidate should be capable of handling real-world production scenarios.

Responsibilities may include

- Investigating production defects.
- Reproducing production issues in controlled environments.
- Analyzing application logs and API responses.
- Working with developers and DevOps to identify root causes.
- Performing emergency validation after production fixes.
- Conducting regression testing following critical fixes.
- Preparing defect/root-cause reports where required.
- Recommending preventive testing to avoid recurrence.
- Security & Quality Validation

Basic understanding of application security is preferred.

The candidate should be familiar with testing scenarios related to:

- Authentication
- Authorization
- Role-based access control

- Basic OWASP vulnerabilities

Security testing experience is an added advantage.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Mandatory / Strongly Preferred

- 23 years of QA/testing experience.
- Strong Manual Testing knowledge.
- Practical Automation Testing experience.
- Selenium / Playwright / Cypress or equivalent.
- API testing using Postman or equivalent.
- Basic SQL knowledge.

We expect the QA Engineer to think like an end user, developer, security tester, and product owner, identify hidden risks, challenge requirements where necessary, and proactively prevent defects from reaching production.

The candidate should demonstrate strong ownership from requirement analysis test planning test execution automation defect tracking regression release validation production support.
