Role: QA & Automation Engineer

Location: Chennai

NeuraNX.ai builds and tests web-based enterprise software for global customers. We are looking for a QA & Automation Engineer to join our quality engineering team in Chennai — someone who tests manually with real rigour and grows our automation coverage so every release ships with confidence.

You will own feature testing across our release cycles, build and maintain automated test suites, manage defects end to end, and communicate quality status directly to product owners and stakeholders — including on calls with our international teams.

What you will do

•Own end-to-end testing of assigned features each release — from reading the spec to writing and executing test cases on schedule.

•Run smoke, sanity and regression testing across web front-end, back-end and APIs, in parallel with the team.

•Build and maintain automated UI and API test suites, and keep them reliable and green.

•Integrate automated checks into CI/CD so they run on every build.

•Raise explicit, reproducible defects with correct severity and drive them to verified closure.

•Track test cases, bugs and dashboards in Azure DevOps, and keep release notes and documentation current.

•Contribute to release planning and readiness, and write status updates stakeholders can act on.

What we are looking for

•3–5 years in software QA, including hands-on test automation.





•Strong grasp of test design, functional, smoke, sanity and regression testing, and the defect lifecycle.

•Automation experience with a mainstream framework (Selenium, Playwright or Cypress).

•Web application and REST API testing (e.g. with Postman or via automation).

•Ability to read and write automation code in C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python, and work with Git.

•Experience with a defect/test-management tool — Azure DevOps Boards preferred, Jira acceptable.

•SQL for data verification.

•Excellent written and spoken English — you will communicate directly with international stakeholders.

Nice to have

•Automation in CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions or Jenkins).

•Experience testing a .NET / React application stack.

•API test automation and BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber).

•Performance testing exposure (JMeter, k6).

•Awareness of security scanning (SAST/DAST).

•ISTQB certification.
