Purchase Executive – Garment Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for our garment manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in purchasing fabrics, trims, garment accessories, packing materials, and other production-related materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day purchasing activities for garment manufacturing requirements.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, packing materials, and other required items.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, Stores, Accounts, and other departments.
- Monitor material requirements and maintain adequate availability.
- Verify supplier invoices and purchase-related documents.
- Maintain proper records of purchases, suppliers, quotations, and orders.




- Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, quantity, and pricing.
- Ensure purchases are made within the required cost and quality standards.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Previous experience in Garment / Apparel / Textile Manufacturing is preferred.
- Good knowledge of garment fabrics, trims, accessories, and packing materials.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Experience with ERP / purchase management software is an added advantage.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with practical experience in garment factory purchase, apparel sourcing, fabric purchase, trims purchase, accessories purchase, and vendor coordination are preferred.
