Property Underwriter - 5+Years - Mumbai

We are hiring for a Property Underwriting 5+ Years for a leading General Insurance company. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in Property & Engineering Underwriting, Risk Assessment, Referral Management, Underwriting Guidelines, Delegated Authority, Regulatory Compliance, and Team Management who can drive profitable underwriting and manage underwriting operations.

Responsibilities –

1. Drive underwriting targets while maintaining the right balance between top-line and bottom-line performance.
2. Manage and lead the team of underwriters across the corporate office and branches.
3. Manage referrals for Property and Engineering Lines of Business (LOB).
4. Ensure adherence to Underwriting Guidelines and Delegated Authority.
5. Ensure compliance with applicable IRDA, GIC, and other regulatory guidelines and rules.
6. Ensure proper recording and file management of proposals and underwriting data for audit purposes.

Requirements –

1. Postgraduate qualification from a reputed college/university; Engineering or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Property & Engineering Underwriting.
3. Strong technical knowledge of Property & Engineering Underwriting.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Strong proficiency in MS Office tools.
