About The Opportunity A fast-scaling product-based manufacturing firm in India, we engineer high-precision industrial components and systems for global OEMs. Our production planning & control team sits at the heart of operational excellence—translating demand forecasts into optimized shop-floor execution, ensuring on-time delivery, minimal waste, and peak capacity utilization across multi-shift, multi-line facilities.
Role &
- Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master production schedules (MPS) aligned to demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and shop-floor teams to ensure material availability and production line readiness.
- Monitor daily shop-floor progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement real-time adjustments to meet output targets.
- Run MRP and ERP system outputs to trigger purchase orders, work orders, and capacity load balancing across production units.
- Track KPIs like OTD, capacity utilization, WIP inventory, and schedule adherence; generate weekly/monthly performance reports for leadership.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with quality, engineering,
and maintenance to resolve production disruptions and improve cycle times.

- ERP systems (SAP MM/PP, Oracle, or similar)
- MRP &
- MPS planning
- Lean manufacturing principles
- Production scheduling tools (Excel advanced, Preactor, or APS)
- Kanban & pull-based systems
- Capacity planning & load balancing
- Shop floor control (SFC) workflows
- Inventory optimization techniques
Preferred
- APICS CPIM certification
- Experience in discrete manufacturing (automotive, machinery, or electronics)
- Knowledge of MES or Andon systems
