Role Description The Principles of Education faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based at West Goalpara College in Balijana. The role involves planning and delivering lectures, tutorials, and classroom activities focused on educational theory, philosophy, and foundational pedagogical concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, guiding academic projects, and providing mentoring and academic advising.

The faculty member will participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and college initiatives to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes. Additional duties may include organizing seminars or workshops, maintaining accurate academic records,



and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of Principles of Education, including educational philosophy, psychology of learning, and contemporary educational practices.
- Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment methods in higher education or teacher education programs.
- Excellent classroom management, instructional, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and support diverse learners.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
- Master’s degree or higher in Education or a closely related field from a recognized institution; advanced specialization in Principles of Education is an advantage.
- Familiarity with educational research, academic writing, and the use of basic digital tools for teaching and record-keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental and institutional activities.
- Commitment to ethical practice, student-centric teaching, and promoting an inclusive and respectful academic environment.
