– Placement Officer
Position: Placement Officer
Department: Placement & Corporate Relations
Location: Barasat
Reporting To: Branch Manager
Job Purpose The Placement Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with companies, identifying employment opportunities for students, coordinating recruitment activities, and ensuring effective placement support for eligible students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate & Employer Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with companies, HR professionals, recruiters, and industry partners.
- Identify new employers and generate regular placement opportunities across relevant industries.
- Conduct regular corporate visits and employer meetings.
- Maintain an updated database of companies and recruitment contacts.
2. Placement & Recruitment Coordination
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, interviews, walk-in drives, job fairs, and placement events.
- Share student profiles/resumes with suitable employers.
- Coordinate interview schedules, venue arrangements, and communication between students and recruiters.
- Follow up with companies regarding interview results, selection status, joining dates, and offer letters.
3. Student Placement Support
- Maintain an updated database of students eligible for placement.
- Guide students regarding suitable job opportunities, interviews, CV preparation, and basic employability skills.
- Ensure students are properly prepared before attending interviews.
- Track student selection, joining, and placement status.
4. Placement Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly and quarterly placement targets assigned by management.
- Generate recent job opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline of vacancies.
- Ensure regular placement activity across all eligible courses/trades.
- Prepare action plans to improve placement conversion.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of company contacts, vacancies, interviews, selections, offers, and joining details.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly placement reports for management.
- Update placement data in the prescribed ERP/MIS or reporting system.
- Maintain proper documentation of employer communication and placement activities.
6. Events & Industry Engagement
- Organize and coordinate Placement Fairs, Recruitment Drives, Industry Visits, Guest Lectures, and other employer engagement activities.
- Invite companies and recruiters to participate in campus placement initiatives.
- Support management in developing industry partnerships and placement tie-ups.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new companies/employers added.
- Number of job vacancies generated.
- Number of students interviewed.
- Number of students selected and successfully joined.
- Placement conversion ratio.
- Monthly/quarterly placement target achievement.
- Employer retention and repeat recruitment.
- Timely and accurate placement reporting.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-management abilities.
- Good negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Basic knowledge of recruitment and hiring processes.
- Valuable MS Office/Excel and email communication skills.
- Ability to maintain databases and prepare reports.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Ability to coordinate with students, faculty, management, and corporate HR teams.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in HR, Marketing, or related field will be an advantage.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in placement, recruitment, HR, business development, corporate relations, or a similar role.
- Experience in an educational/training/skill-development institute will be preferred.

Pay: ₹12,350.00 - ₹17,900.00 per month
