We are seeking an experienced Patholab Technician to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in pathology or diagnostic laboratories, with strong technical skills in operating semi-automatic lab machines and generating computer-based lab reports. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Specimen handling: Collect, label, and prepare biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for analysis.

- Laboratory testing: Operate Erba and Accurex semi-automatic laboratory machines to conduct routine and specialized diagnostic tests.

- Report generation: Create and manage laboratory reports using computer systems with accuracy and confidentiality.

- Blood collection: Perform venipuncture and blood drawing procedures with proficiency and patient care.

- Quality assurance: Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, calibration, and quality control measures.

- Equipment maintenance: Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.

- Safety compliance: Follow biosafety protocols and infection control standards.

Work closely with pathologists and medical staff to support diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or related field.

- 3–5 years of skilled experience in pathology or diagnostic laboratories.

- Hands-on expertise in operating Erba and Accurex semi-automatic laboratory machines.

- Proficiency in computer-based lab report generation and documentation.

- Knowledge of blood drawing and collection techniques (added advantage).

- Certification from a recognized medical laboratory council (preferred).
