About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Overseas Business Development professional with 3–5 years of experience in the freight forwarding / logistics / shipping industry . The candidate will be responsible for developing international business opportunities, building overseas partnerships, generating business leads, and strengthening relationships with international agents and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new international business opportunities across global markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas freight forwarders, agents, shipping lines, NVOCCs and logistics partners .
- Generate business through international agents, overseas networks, referrals and market research .
- Coordinate with overseas partners for import/export shipments, rates, quotations and business enquiries .
- Negotiate freight rates, service terms and commercial agreements with overseas agents.
- Identify potential markets, customers and international trade lanes for business expansion.
- Handle business enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and conversion of overseas leads.
- Maintain regular communication with international clients/agents through email, calls, WhatsApp and online meetings .
- Work closely with the Sales, Pricing and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of business.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, international freight rates and emerging trade lanes.
- Maintain an updated database of overseas agents and prospective business partners .
- Achieve assigned business development,



revenue and profitability targets .
- Prepare regular reports on leads, enquiries, conversions, revenue and business pipeline .
- Strong Overseas Coordination with agents is an essential skills for this position, coordinating with multiple agents & stakeholders, and maintain professional relationship with them.

Desired Skills

- Strong knowledge of International Freight Forwarding and Logistics .
- Good understanding of Import/Export processes, Incoterms and international trade lanes .
- Excellent English communication and negotiation skills .
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Positive proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office and email communication .
- Ability to communicate confidently with international clients and overseas agents .
- Target-oriented, proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Strong follow-up and business conversion skills.

Candidate Profile

- Candidate with 3–5 years of relevant experience in Overseas Business Development / International Sales / Freight Forwarding.
- Education: MBA/ PGDM in any specialization, with good command over English.
- Candidates from Freight Forwarding, Shipping, NVOCC, CHA or Logistics backgrounds will be preferred.
- Experience dealing with international agents / overseas customers will be an added advantage.
- Graduate in any discipline; candidates with qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or related fields will be preferred.
