Odia Content & Research Executive

We are looking for an Odia Content & Research Executive with excellent command of the Odia language and a strong ability to understand, research and simplify information.

The candidate will work closely with our content, social media and video production teams. The primary responsibility will be to research current topics, understand articles, reports, news, speeches and video content, and convert complex information into clear content briefs that can be used for social media posts and videos.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and understand Odia and English articles, news reports, reports, documents and other source materials.
- Explain complex subjects to the creative and video teams in a simple and understandable manner.
- Prepare short research briefs containing key facts, important points, context and potential content angles.
- Assist the content team in developing Odia scripts, captions, headlines and social media content.
- Translate or adapt content between English and Odia while maintaining the original meaning and context.
- Review Odia scripts, subtitles, posters and social media creatives for language accuracy, grammar and clarity.
- Watch speeches, interviews and videos and identify important statements or portions that could be developed into digital content.
- Follow current developments in Odisha, governance, public policy, social issues and regional news.
- Fact-check important claims before they are converted into social media content.
- Coordinate with video editors, graphic designers and social media executives to ensure that the final content accurately communicates the intended message.




- Maintain organized records of research materials, references and approved content.

Candidate Requirements
- Native or professional-level proficiency in Odia – reading, writing and speaking.
- Good working knowledge of English.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand long articles/documents and summarize them into simple points.
- Good understanding of Odisha's current affairs, culture, society and regional issues.
- Interest in politics, governance, public policy and digital media will be an advantage.
- Ability to identify credible information and distinguish facts from unsupported claims.
- Comfortable working with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-moving content environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Background Candidates with backgrounds in any of the following will be preferred:

Journalism / Mass Communication / Political Science / Public Administration / English / Odia Literature / Media Studies / Digital Media

Freshers with excellent Odia language, research and current-affairs knowledge may also apply.

What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for someone who simply translates English content into Odia.

We need someone who can understand the subject, research the background, identify the important points and communicate the concept clearly to our creative team.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
