Current Product Development (NPD) Engineer

? Location: Chakan, Pune

? Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field

? Experience: 3 to 4 Years

Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly motivated New Product Development (NPD) Engineer to execute new product development projects from concept to commercialization. The role involves project planning, product trials, testing, process development, scale-up activities, and successful product launches while coordinating closely with R&D;, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute new product and technology development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Prepare project plans, timelines, and trial schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate with R&D; for formulation development, material selection, and technical support.
- Plan and conduct laboratory, pilot, and production-scale trials.
- Support process optimization, scale-up, and commercialization activities.
- Conduct product testing and evaluations as per customer and industry requirements.
- Coordinate third-party testing, certifications, and product validation activities.
- Work with external laboratories, testing agencies, and certification bodies.
- Monitor project timelines and proactively address technical and operational challenges.
- Support customer trials,



product demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
- Establish product specifications and quality parameters before commercialization.
- Perform competitor benchmarking and identify new product opportunities.
- Support cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Technical Experience Experience in any of the following will be an added advantage:

- Sheet Extrusion Lines
- Polymer Film/Sheet Manufacturing
- Coating Lines
- Converting Lines
- Lamination Processes

Key Skills

- Strong project execution and coordination skills
- Good understanding of polymer and plastics processing
- Hands-on exposure to extrusion and polymer processing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills
- Ability to plan and manage product trials and testing activities
- Result-oriented approach with strong ownership and follow-up skills

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have 3 to 4 years of experience in product development, process development, project execution, or a related role within the polymer/plastics industry .
