Role & responsibilities
Objective of the role The Marketing Communication Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing internal and external communication initiatives that enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business objectives. This role involves creating marketing content, coordinating campaigns, managing communication channels, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
Key Areas of Responsibility
ESSENTIAL
Marketing Communications
- Develop and execute integrated marketing communication plans aligned with business goals.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity, messaging, and tone across all communication channels.
- Manage communication calendars and campaign schedules.
Content Development
- Write, edit, and proofread content for digital, print, and social media platforms.
- Develop engaging content for websites, email campaigns, and corporate communications.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create compelling marketing assets.
Digital Marketing Support
- Support social media strategy and content execution.
- Monitor and manage corporate digital channels.
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams to optimize content performance and audience engagement.
Campaign Management
- Assist in planning and executing product launches, events, webinars, and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, vendors, and designers to deliver marketing initiatives on time.
- Track campaign performance and prepare post-campaign analysis reports.
Brand Management
- Protect and strengthen the companys brand image and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with branding and corporate communication guidelines.
- Monitor competitor communications and market trends.
SECONDARY Reporting & Analytics
- Measure effectiveness of communication campaigns using relevant KPIs.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing communication activities and outcomes.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data insights.
Preferred candidate profile
ESSENTIAL
Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications / Public Relations / Journalism or a related field.
DESIRABLE/PREFERRED
Bachelor of Science / Master's degree or qualified marketing certification is an advantage.
