Manager / Senior Manager – Reinsurance Placement & Operations (Marine) /n Location: Mumbai /n Industry: Insurance Broking /n Function: Reinsurance – Marine Placement & Operations /n Experience: 5–12 years /n Compensation: Up to ₹25 LPA /n Level: Manager / Senior Manager /n /n Role Overview /n We are looking for an experienced Reinsurance professional with strong expertise in Marine insurance , covering both reinsurance placement and operations . The role will involve managing end-to-end facultative reinsurance placements, coordinating with insurers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth execution of documentation and post-placement activities. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n

- Manage end-to-end Marine Facultative Reinsurance placements , from receiving submissions to final binding.

/n

- Analyse Marine risks, underwriting information, policy terms, limits, deductibles and exposure details.

/n

- Prepare and review reinsurance slips, submissions, quotations, debit/credit notes, cover notes and other placement documentation .

/n

- Approach and negotiate with domestic and international reinsurers for optimal terms and pricing.

/n

- Coordinate with cedants, insurers, reinsurers and internal teams throughout the placement cycle.

/n

- Handle reinsurance operations and post-placement servicing , including documentation, premium processing, endorsements, renewals and cancellations.

/n

- Follow up for reinsurance confirmations, signed lines, policy documentation and closing documents .

/n

- Coordinate with finance/accounts teams for premium settlements, collections and related reconciliations.

/n





- Support Marine reinsurance renewals and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers and market contacts.

/n

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, documentation and internal process requirements.

/n

- Maintain accurate records, placement trackers and MIS related to Marine reinsurance business.

/n

- Guide junior team members and support the team in meeting placement and operational timelines.

/n /n /n Mandatory Requirements /n /n

- 5–12 years of relevant experience in Reinsurance, preferably within an insurance/reinsurance broking company .

/n

- Solid and hands-on experience in Marine Reinsurance – Placement & Operations .

/n

- Should have independently handled Marine Facultative Reinsurance placements .

/n

- Strong understanding of the complete reinsurance placement lifecycle, including submission, negotiation, placement, binding and post-placement operations .

/n

- Experience dealing with reinsurers / reinsurance markets and negotiating terms.

/n

- Good understanding of Marine insurance risks, policy structures, limits, deductibles and reinsurance terms & conditions .

/n

- Strong documentation and operational expertise, including slips, endorsements, debit/credit notes, confirmations and closing documentation .

/n

- Excellent coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

/n

- Candidates currently working with insurance/reinsurance broking firms will be preferred.

/n

- Must be comfortable working from Mumbai .

/n /n /n Education & Qualification /n /n

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

/n

- Insurance/reinsurance qualifications such as AIII, ACII, CII, III certification or equivalent would be an advantage.

/n

- Relevant professional certifications in Marine Insurance/Reinsurance will be preferred.
