Junior Business Consultant – Research & Business Operations

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive professional to join a growing business consulting team.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in HR, Administration, Finance, Business Operations, MIS, Research, or a related field who enjoys working with data, preparing reports, coordinating activities, and solving business problems.

You do not need prior consulting experience. What matters most is your ability to understand information, organize it clearly, identify gaps, prepare high-quality documents, and take ownership of assigned work.

What You'll Do

Research & Analysis

- Research companies, industries, markets, and business information before client engagements.
- Collect, organize, and analyze company and financial information.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or important insights in the available data.
- Turn unstructured information into clear and useful frameworks.

Reports & Presentations

- Prepare first drafts of business reports, presentations, analyses, and other client deliverables.
- Create charts, summaries, frameworks, and structured presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Incorporate feedback and make deliverables client-ready with minimal revisions.

Coordination & Follow-up

- Coordinate client meetings, internal reviews, and project activities.
- Take structured meeting notes and convert discussions into explicit action items.
- Follow up on pending tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain organized project documentation.

Business & Consulting Support

- Support senior consultants across multiple client engagements.
- Prepare materials and exercises for coaching/training sessions.




- Research best practices across different business functions.
- Help build internal knowledge, templates, frameworks, and playbooks.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, HR, or a related field .
- 1–3 years of relevant experience ; fresh graduates with strong analytical and communication skills may also be considered.
- Experience in HR, administration, finance, MIS, research, business operations, or consulting is an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint .

What Success Looks Like Within the first few months, you will be expected to independently handle research assignments, prepare high-quality first drafts, support client engagements, and reliably manage follow-ups and coordination.
