About the Role:

RCM Bharat Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a vigilant and knowledgeable Infection Control Nurse (ICN) to monitor, prevent, and control the spread of infections within the facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing infection prevention protocols, conducting surveillance, and training staff on best hygiene and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and implement infection prevention and control (IPC) policies across all departments/wards
- Conduct regular surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and maintain infection tracking records
- Investigate infection outbreaks, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, sterilization, disinfection, and biomedical waste management protocols
- Conduct training and awareness sessions for nursing, medical, and support staff on infection control practices
- Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by staff
- Coordinate with the microbiology/lab department for infection-related test reports and antibiotic surveillance
- Prepare and submit periodic infection control reports (MIS) to the management/medical superintendent




- Conduct regular audits and inspections of wards, OT, ICU, and other critical areas for infection control compliance
- Ensure isolation protocols are properly implemented for infectious/contagious patients
- Stay updated with national/international infection control guidelines (NABH, WHO, CDC, etc.) and ensure adherence
- Support in the development and revision of infection control policies and SOPs

Required Qualifications:

- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution
- Valid Nursing Council Registration (State/Central Nursing Council)
- Certification/training in Infection Control / Hospital Infection Control Nursing will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies:

- Good knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, sterilization, and biomedical waste management
- Strong observational and analytical skills for surveillance and audits
- Ability to train and guide staff on hygiene and safety protocols
- Good communication and coordination skills across departments
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Ability to handle outbreak situations calmly and effectively
- Knowledge of NABH/accreditation-related infection control standards (preferred)
