Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Plant HR Executive to manage end-to-end HR operations at our manufacturing plant in Padappai, Chennai.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Plant HR, Payroll, Statutory Compliance, Employee Relations, Labour Laws, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Factory Act compliance, and Industrial Relations.

Key Responsibilities

Plant HR Operations

- Manage day-to-day HR operations at the manufacturing plant.
- Handle employee lifecycle activities including joining, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions and exit formalities.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave and shift-related data.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with Production and other functional departments.
- Support employee engagement, discipline and grievance handling.
- Maintain effective employee relations across the plant workforce.

Payroll & Attendance
- Manage monthly payroll processing for plant employees.
- Ensure accurate attendance, overtime, leave, shift and wage inputs.
- Coordinate with payroll teams and ensure timely salary processing.
- Handle payroll-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies.

Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Labour Laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund and other applicable compliances.
- Ensure timely statutory payments, returns, registers and documentation.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with applicable wage and employment regulations.
- Coordinate with external consultants, government authorities and statutory auditors when required.

Factory & Labour Law Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Factories Act and related factory regulations.
- Coordinate with the Inspector of Factories / Factory Department and other statutory authorities.
- Maintain statutory registers,



licenses, notices and records required for the plant.
- Support inspections and ensure timely closure of observations and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements relating to working hours, overtime, leave, welfare, safety and employment conditions.

Industrial Relations
- Handle day-to-day employee relations and grievance management.
- Support disciplinary proceedings and maintain proper documentation.
- Handle shop-floor HR issues in coordination with Plant Management.
- Experience in dealing with workmen, contract labour and employee representatives/unions will be preferred.
- Support management in maintaining a positive and disciplined work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Personnel Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- MBA/PG Diploma in HR / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations will be an advantage.
- 48 years of relevant experience in Plant HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of Payroll, PF, ESI, Gratuity and statutory compliance.
- Valuable knowledge of Factories Act, Labour Laws and Industrial Relations.
- Experience in handling factory inspections and statutory authorities.
- Good knowledge of HRMS, payroll systems and MS Excel.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage HR activities at a manufacturing plant.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates from Automotive, Auto Components, Engineering, Manufacturing, Tyres, Polymer, Plastics, or other industrial manufacturing companies will be preferred.
