We’re Hiring | Head of Marketplace

Location: Kolkata | Onsite

Function: E-commerce / Marketplace | Full P&L; Ownership

We are hiring a Head of Marketplace for a high-growth, occasion-led men’s ethnic wear / fashion brand with a solid presence across D2C, retail and marketplaces.

This is a builder’s role , not a caretaker position. The individual will own the marketplace business end-to-end — driving revenue growth, profitability, operations, expansion and team building , while managing the channel as a self-contained P&L.;

What We’re Looking For

- We are specifically looking for candidates who bring:
- Proven experience independently managing a ₹100 Cr+ marketplace P&L; / GMV / NSV
- Strong experience in fashion, apparel or adjacent lifestyle categories
- Demonstrated success in scaling marketplace businesses through category expansion, new platform launches and account upgrades
- Current and active relationships with Myntra category heads , along with strong Amazon relationships
- Strong understanding of marketplace commercials — commissions, ad spend, ACOS, inventory planning, OTB, returns/RTO, pricing and promotions
- Experience building and managing marketplace teams
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Supply Chain and Finance

Key Responsibilities

- Own the consolidated Marketplace P&L; , including revenue, contribution margin, ad spends, commissions, logistics, returns and inventory costs




- Drive growth across Myntra, Amazon India and other domestic marketplaces
- Own relationships with marketplace category teams and lead JBP negotiations, event participation and visibility/placement opportunities
- Drive marketplace advertising and optimize ROAS / TACoS
- Build and execute the international marketplace expansion roadmap across platforms such as Amazon US, Noon, Namshi and other relevant markets
- Lead end-to-end international launches including catalog localization, pricing, logistics and compliance
- Optimize inventory, fulfillment, returns/RTO and overall operational health
- Build performance dashboards and present regular marketplace reviews to senior leadership
- Hire, manage and develop the marketplace team and agency partners

Good to Have

- Cross-border e-commerce experience — Amazon Global Selling, Noon, Namshi, etc.

• Exposure to GCC / US diaspora fashion and festive/wedding demand

• Experience in a founder-led, high-growth D2C environment

- Strong Excel/Google Sheets and BI dashboard capabilities

We are more interested in the scale of marketplace P&L; ownership, growth track record, platform relationships and commercial expertise.
