Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Head Accountant to lead our accounting and finance department. This individual will take full ownership of the companys end-to-end financial operations, including general ledger management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), tax compliance. The Head Accountant will ensure robust internal controls, optimize cash flow, and deliver actionable financial insights to senior leadership to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Management & Strategy
- Oversee all core accounting functions: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.
- Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L;, Cash Flow) in accordance with accounting standards.
- Cash Flow & Banking Operations
- Monitor daily cash balances, manage working capital requirements, and optimize short-term/long-term liquidity.




- Maintain relationships with banking partners, handle credit facilities and loan accounts.
- Taxation, Audit & Compliance
- Role requires comprehensive knowledge of TDS, Income Tax, GST, and auditing, along with robust attention to detail.
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws managing direct and indirect tax filings (e.g., Income Tax, GST, TDS).
- Team Leadership & Systems
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team (senior/junior accountants, billing specialists).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Masters degree (MBA Finance) or professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA) strongly preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of total accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years leading a finance team or managing full-charge company accounts preferably in Food Processing/Dairy Processing Company.
