About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished General Manager Sales to lead and scale the domestic sales business for a fast-growing organisation operating across agricultural machinery, farm equipment and silage solutions.

The role will own sales strategy, revenue growth, dealer/distributor expansion, institutional business, team leadership and P&L; performance across India.

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and execute the national sales strategy for agricultural machinery and silage solutions.
- Drive revenue, volume, market share and profitability across key markets.
- Build, expand and manage dealer & distributor networks across India.
- Identify and develop institutional opportunities with dairy farms, contractors, FPOs, large farmers and other agri businesses.
- Lead rural and semi-urban market penetration through structured channel strategies.
- Own sales forecasting, budgeting, pricing, collections and P&L; performance.
- Lead and develop regional sales teams with strong target and performance management.
- Drive product launches, farmer demonstrations,



dealer meets and market-development initiatives.
- Analyse market trends, competition and customer requirements to identify new growth opportunities.
- Strengthen channel profitability, inventory discipline and secondary sales.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1015 years of overall sales experience with strong leadership exposure.
- Strong experience in agricultural machinery, tractors, farm implements or farm equipment.
- Candidates from silage, cattle feed, fodder solutions or allied agri businesses may also be considered.
- Proven experience in dealer/distributor appointment and channel expansion.
- Solid exposure to rural sales, institutional sales and multi-state business.
- Experience managing large sales teams and owning business targets/P&L.;
- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing or Agri Business preferred; Agriculture/Engineering graduates are also preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, leadership and market-development capabilities.
