Job Summary

The General Manager – Finance will be responsible for leading the organization’s overall finance and accounting function, ensuring financial governance, statutory compliance, business profitability, treasury management, budgeting, taxation, and strategic financial planning. The role requires close collaboration with business leaders to drive operational excellence, improve financial performance, and support the organization’s long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, business planning, and financial forecasting.
- Drive profitability analysis and recommend strategic initiatives to improve margins.
- Provide financial insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and financial targets.

Financial Reporting & Accounting

- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee general accounting, financial reporting, and book closure.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and applicable accounting principles.
- Present financial reports and MIS to the CFO, MD, and Board of Directors.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Oversee GST, Income Tax, TDS, Advance Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess business impact.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

- Manage cash flow,



banking relationships, and treasury operations.
- Optimize working capital and improve cash conversion cycles.
- Oversee fund management and investment planning.
- Negotiate banking facilities, credit limits, and financial arrangements.

Audit & Internal Controls

- Lead statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits.
- Strengthen financial governance and internal control frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Mitigate financial risks through robust control mechanisms.

Commercial & Business Finance

- Partner with Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Business Heads on commercial decisions.
- Review large customer contracts, pricing models, and commercial agreements.
- Support bid evaluations and financial feasibility assessments.
- Analyze business profitability by customer, project, and business unit.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

- Monitor customer collections and receivables ageing.
- Improve collection efficiency and cash realization.
- Ensure timely vendor payments while optimizing cash flow.
- Review outstanding liabilities and receivables regularly.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
- Establish performance goals and ensure capability development.
- Drive finance process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

ERP & Digital Transformation

- Lead finance automation and ERP optimization initiatives.
- Improve reporting through dashboards and business intelligence tools.
- Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems and financial controls.

Educational Qualification

Mandatory

- Chartered Accountant (CA)

Preferred

- MBA (Finance)
- CMA / CPA (Added Advantage)

Experience

- 15–20 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 5–8 years in a leadership role managing end-to-end finance operations.
- Experience in IT Services, System Integration, Technology, Manufacturing, EPC, or Engineering organizations is preferred.
- Experience handling multi-location finance operations and large business volumes.
