About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting one of our prestigious clients, American Airlines. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software solutions that enhance the airline’s digital infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative technology products that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and security across the organization.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in designing, developing,



and deploying large-scale software solutions in a production environment is required. Preference will be given to candidates holding a master’s degree or those with prior experience in the airline or transportation industry.

Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C#, along with front-end technologies like JavaScript, Angular, or React, is essential. Candidates should also have experience with source control tools such as GitHub, and familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL. Strong analytical skills, object-oriented design expertise, and experience working within Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM, are highly valued.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and document high-quality software applications according to organizational standards and best practices.
- Participate in requirement analysis and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Lead the implementation of significant features and enhancements within existing systems, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve system issues, improving reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for security, resiliency, and observability.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to ensure system latency, availability, and security standards are consistently met.




- Proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and guide teams in implementing mitigation strategies.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Promote code reuse and modular design to streamline development processes and enhance system robustness.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings to ensure timely delivery of high-value features.
- Introduce innovative approaches to solving complex problems and optimize existing solutions for better performance and reliability.
