Key Responsibilities

- Handle complete Sea Import operations from shipment booking to final delivery.

- Specialize in freight rate negotiation and finalisation with shipping lines, freight forwarders and overseas agents.

- Obtain and compare freight quotations and negotiate the best possible ocean freight and local charges.

- Finalise FCL/LCL freight rates, port charges, THC, documentation charges, DO charges and other applicable costs.

- Develop and maintain solid relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, freight forwarders and CHA partners.

- Negotiate competitive rates based on volume, route, container type, port and shipment frequency.

- Monitor market freight rates and identify opportunities for cost reduction and better commercial terms.

- Coordinate with CHA, transporters, shipping lines and internal teams for smooth shipment clearance and delivery.

- Review Bill of Lading, arrival notices, invoices, freight bills and other import documents.

- Monitor vessel schedules, ETA/ETD, container movement, detention/demurrage and shipment delays.





- Verify freight invoices and ensure that charges are as per the finalised/negotiated rates.

- Maintain a proper database of freight rates, vendors, quotations and negotiated commercial terms.

- Prepare regular freight cost and shipment reports for management.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in Sea Import and Freight Rate Negotiation.

- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.

- Good knowledge of Indian ports, shipping lines, customs, CHA and import documentation.

- Strong vendor management and cost-control skills.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/logistics software.

- Good communication, follow-up and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
